This
one tip your about to discover could very well determine
your online survival!
Dave
here with a quick tip that will shed some light on a problem
that I see many beginner (and some advanced) marketers struggling
with...
I often
get asked what's the secret to online success, and quite
often my response tends to shock more than a few people.
They expect a long winded reply about generating lists,
providing unique content, building trust, creating relationships,
yada, yada yada.
But
the answer takes them by complete surpise because it's definitely
not what they expected!
Hey,
don't get me wrong. All this stuff is crucial to creating
a solid long-term business. But some people fall for the
trap of putting the cart before the horse and getting themselves
into a right royal mess.
Making
money online is a very simple process, yet every day people
seem to go out of their way to make it as complicated as
they can.
The
truth is... the more complicated you make it, the more difficult
and frustrating it becomes. But somehow I get the feeling
I'm not telling you something you don't already know :o)
To put
it in very simple terms...
The
#1 Key to Online Success is Pure SIMPLICITY!
I know
that sounds to simple to be true... but I just can't put
it in simpler
terms!
When
first starting out, you need to make it as simple as you
possibly can. Forget about trying to save the world. First
you need to save yourself from yourself! Does that make
any sense?
Let
me explain.
The
biggest mistake that I see newbies make when trying to create
their online business is that they try to invent that one
thing that will make them a super star. That one great idea
that will make them more money than Scrooge McDuck. The
one amazing new product that is going to change the world
as we know it!
This
type of thinking has lead to the failure of more online
businesses that anything else on the face of the planet
and is the primary reason why 95% of all online marketers
NEVER make a single dime!
The
'secret' is to keep it simple and to find something that
ALREADY works, and then simply leverage off this success
to create a model for your own success.
In other
words...
Don't
try to be the star attraction on Saturday Night Live in
your first month online... or even your second or third
month!
You
need to take it slow and learn the ropes by first finding
something that is already working, copy it and then suck
it dry for all that it's worth. Then repeat the process
again and again and again.
Do this
and before you know it, you'll slip under the radar and
start making more money than you can poke 10 forked sticks
at... honest :o)
So the
question is... "how do you find what already works"?
Again
there is a simple answer...
|
"If
you want to know where the money is being MADE...
all you need to do is look where the money is being
SPENT!" |
(Hot
Tip - Burn the above statement into your brain, memorize
it and never forget... your online survival depends on it.
It is that important!)
Read
the papers or your favorite magazines and identify what's
hot by seeing what is being advertised. Then grab some back-issues
of these same publications and compare what products are
being promoted from one issue to the next.
The
products you find that are being continually advertised
from week to week are the ones that are making the advertisers
bucketloads of money. Why?
Well
would you continually fork out big bucks for advertising
in these publications if you weren't making money from them?
Of course not!
But
that's not all...
Another
simply way to find out what's working in real-time is to
perform some secret stealth undercover work by spying on
the pay-per-click (ppc) search engines, such as Google.
For
example... let's say you're interested in karaoke and you're
wondering if it would be worthwhile tapping into this market.
All you need do is go to Google and do a search for "karaoke."
Notice
the Google Adwords that appear on the right-hand side of
the search results page. Marketers are paying to have these
ads listed to promote karaoke products, services or websites.
But
before you click on them (you'll do that later), I'm going
to show you how you can use them to learn whether you can
profit from your chosen niche or not?
First
off, go to the first three pages of the search engine results
and print out or copy the Google Adwords listed on each
page. Then wait 2 weeks and do the exact same thing using
the same search phrase, in this case "karaoke".
(Yeah I know, but you need to be patient)
Now
this is where it gets real interesting...
Compare
the first list of ads with that of the current list you
have and circle the ones that are on BOTH lists.
Guess
what? You've just identified the ads for "karaoke"
that are turning a profit for the advertisers.
All
you need to do then is visit the websites of the selected
ads and check out
how they are promoting their products.
 |
Is it an affiliate site or do they own their own product? |
 |
What
pricing structure are they using? |
 |
Do
they review a single product or do they have a comparison
site that compares a number of similar type products? |
 |
Do
they offer a backend product to capture additional sales? |
 |
etc,
etc, etc. |
Once
you've found out all that you can, join an affiliate program
and then create your own site to promote your chosen product.
[Note
- I have found that the best method is to become an affiliate
to multiple products and then create a site that gives an
honest review of each product, as well as to provide helpful
content that is informative to your targeted audience. More
on this shortly]
Now,
as you already know that the product is successful, it's
just a matter of doing some investigations and creating
a Google Adwords campaign to begin promoting your own site.
But
a word of warning...
If you
choose to use Google Adwords, start with small bids
for your keywords until you know what your sales conversion
rate is. Once you've established your conversion, you
can adjust your bids to suit your budget.
For
example, if you place a bid of 20 cents for your keywords,
and you're sales conversion is 1 sale for every 150 clicks,
then it is costing you $30.00 for every sale you make (150
x .20).
If the
profit on each sale is $50, then you are making $20.00 per
sale and, if you want, you have flexibility to increase
your bid price and still make a profit on each sale.
However,
if you profit on each sale is only $20.00, then you are
losing $10 on each sale and you need to either reduce your
bid to a more suitable level or improve your website to
increase your conversion rate.
An
alternative Option for driving traffic to your site!
Of course
this is just one method of driving traffic to your site.
You
could also create a content-driven site that focuses on
your niche topic using information that your target market
is looking for, in this case karaoke. In turn this will
entice the search engines spiders to visit your site and
you have a chance to obtain a high listing in the search
engines.
If you
choose this method and you're looking for content, then
don't worry. All the content you'll ever need for just about
any topic is available at your
finger tips.
There
is a myriad of article and public domain content this is
freely available from the net. All you need to do is spend
a bit of time search your favorite search engine and you'll
find all the info you need. Yep, that's right. You will
need to do some work. But the rewards will certainly be
worth it!
And
if you think that you need unique content on your site to
get a high search engine listing... you don't!
Using
someone else's articles that are highly relevant to your
topic is an excellent strategy to create instant content
for your site. All you need do is add a few lines of additional
comments about the article or add an RSS feed to the bottom
of the page and all of a sudden you've got unique content
that isn't available on any other site on the net.
A
highly effective method for attracting theattention of the
search engine spiders..
For
that matter, you could simply create a blog about your topic
and then post a mixture of RSS content and articles to the
site on a regular basis and then use whatever method you
chose to grab the attention of the search engines to spider
your site.
A good
example of using the blog content method can be seen at:
http://www.specialmortgagerates.com
While
this blog focuses on generating an income from Adsense revenue,
there is no reason why you couldn't add some affiliate links
on the site to create additional streams of income or add
additional pages of content that specifically focuses on
promoting your affiliate products.
This
is an excellent method of attracting the spiders to your
site and at times this can result in high placement in the
search engines.
Now
you will be required to do some work to make this successful.
But if your time is limited, then rather than having to
search for content on the net, which can be time consuming,
there are additional strategies to creating unique content
to help reduce your workload and to free-up soe of your
spare time.
If you
simply haven't got the time to perform your own research
to create your own content, and you're looking for a simpler
option of getting your own content, then heres a free pdf
report that will show you a simpler, faster and much easier
way...

Your Online Business in More Ways Than One!
Repeat...
Repeat... Repeat...
Oh yeah!
In case you haven't figured it out yet, you can follow the
above steps to create sites for virtually any market, topic
or product you want by simply repeating the process for

a little effort on your part, in no time at all you could
create a network of sites that are generating a nice online
income.
Hmmm.
All of a sudden it's not that hard is it?
