an Eye Out for the Big Players"

Hi
Online Friend,
If there's
one thing you need to do on the net, it's you need to keep
an eye out for the big players!
What
exactly does this mean?
You
need to learn to recognize what the 'big players' are doing
and follow in their footsteps. Their movements have ripples
that can reach to every corner of the globe and as they
have far greater resources than you do, they have the ability
to spot or create new trends way before most other people.
So
when you see them doing something different, you need to
play it smart, copy their 'strategies' and leverage off
their smarts.
For
example, when Amazon thought of the idea of having other
sites reselling their products, they changed internet marketing
forever. The smart marketers seen the trend change, caught
the wave and surfed to the top. Others are still wondering
what went wrong!
Did
you jump on the bandwagon when RSS was first taking off?
Those that didmade heaps and are still being rewarded for
their foresight.
Do you
remember the big talk about page generation systems. How
they wouldn't last and wouldn't make any real money?
Well
those that got in early and learned how to do it properly
generated obscene amounts of income. It's getting harder,
but if you hurry you can still make good money with these
systems! Find
out how here!
These
all started off as ripples and the smart people benefited
hugely, while others where too slow to react and didn't
make a single penny. But there's no need to worry if you
missed out on these and other 'fads', because trends are
constently changing.
In fact,
there are some 'ripples' being made as we speak.
eBay
in planning to gobble up Shopping.com with classifieds becoming
a strong point in the eBay strategy. And with this new acquisition,
mill'ions of customers will certainly buy or sell through
eBay.
So if
you buy or sell on the internet, you have to watch eBay.
In fact many websites owe their entire income to eBay, so
if you're not one of them, you should give this some thought.
It seems
the "eBay way" is here to stay with their endless
online promotion. Many people don't even own a website,
but thanks to this way of selling, they are making pretty
good money from the comfort of home.
Here
is another trend we've noticed...
Have
you been tweaking and putting more and more gizmos onto
your site?
Well,
sometimes you'll have a better response if you do exactly
the opposite.
Any
marketing expert will tell you that your site must look
professional, but plain - and this is what European mobile
phone companies are doing and making big profits in the
process!
What's
hot now is low-tech cell phones targeted for people who
want to use their phones to... yes, you guessed it - talk!
Hmmm. Fancy that :o)
That's
right - there are a lot of people who don't care about all
the new bells and whistles the new cell phones have and
they're trading in their hi-tech toys for
simple-to-use devices.
So
flash is out... and simple is in. Remember that!
Skype
is also making quite a hype and becoming the choice of millions.
So what
we can take from this is that VoIP (Voice over Internet
Protocol) is sure to be involved in a lot of online businesses
in the future. The visitors will now not only type questions,
they will have the option to verbally interact with a real
human to respond to their questions - making the internet
much warmer and more friendly.
Another
story worth reading is that PayPal has reduced their payment
regulations. How can this help?
Well
this will be big business for those that allow visitors
to make small payments for such things like ringtones, music
downloads, greeting cards, pictures, donations, etc.
It is
now getting to the stage that there are very few restrictions.
You name it, it can now be sold. So what you thought in
the past wasn't viable now may be a big winner using micropayments.
Like
I said, it's all about being aware of the new trends and
leveraging what you know for greater profits!
Talk
to ya later...
